Delivery / Shipping

Standard Delivery Times

The length of time that it will take to receive your order can be determined by adding:
1) the time taken for us to pick, pack and ship your order and
2) the time taken to deliver your order. Following is a brief outline of these steps:


1) Picking/Packing/Shipping

This step involves picking the order from the warehouse, then packing and invoicing it. Our website displays the web availability for a given product on its product details page. The "suggested time to invoice" shows the time that it will take to complete this first step. In general if the products are available and we receive your order before midday, this step should be completed on the same day - meaning same day shipping of your order.

2) Delivery

The time taken to deliver your order is determined by our mail carriers. We ship orders direct from our West Ryde [NSW], Woolloongabba [QLD], Blackburn [VIC], Adelaide [SA] and Perth [WA] stores.

3) Suggested Delivery Times

Note: This information is provided as an indication only for orders where all items are available at the time of order. Unexpected delays from our mail carriers may affect the times stated here.

Express Shipping

Express shipping is available to most areas within Australia. We are unable to offer the service to the Northern Territory, North-West Western Australia, Christmas and Keeling Islands. Express Shipping is not available for orders shipped outside Australia.

Orders placed before 2pm AEDST will receive priority processing and will usually arrive within 1 to 2 days of the order being placed, when shipped from your closest store and providing that the item is in stock and in one store location.*

Stock figures displayed on Koorong.com accurately represent our web store availability. When web store availability is below 5, stock levels can sell quickly and may not be available to fill your order.

*Out of stock items will affect the express shipping option. Items on backorder will be sent out post-free as they are made available but not express shipped. Make sure that the total stock quantity you require is available to ensure your order is not delayed. It may be worth placing a phone call to the store to double check indicated stock numbers.  WA customers can expect longer express delivery times when items are shipped from east coast locations.

Express Shipping Rates

Normal postage rates apply to your order and for express shipping you will be charged an additional $4.99 per 4kg*. This amount will be calculated prior to finalising your order.

*Except where multiple packages are sent from more than one store using the express shipping option. Each package will be charged at $4.99 if this option is arranged with our Customer Service Team.

Backorders

If there are items in your order that are not in stock , they will be backordered and either sent from another Koorong store if available there, or ordered from the publisher/supplier. Your backorders will be shipped separately using regular post, but no additional postage charges will be applied (unless you have arranged express shipping).

Delivery Charges

At Koorong, we charge only one delivery fee for any regular postage order*, even if that order is filled in more than one shipment. Backorders of temporarily unavailable items on your initial order will not be charged any additional delivery fee when they are sent. We calculate postage according to the total value of items supplied from your order. Delivery charges are listed in the table below. * Note for express shipping orders: only the first part of the order will be sent using express shipping. Items not in stock at our mail-order stores will be sent separately as available using regular post.

*Note for international orders: We will only charge postage on items that are shipped, including the minimum shipping fee. Subsequent shipping of backordered products will be charged at the standard international rate; however, no minimum fee will be applied to these shipments.

Australian Web Orders: Order online and SAVE!

Single-item orders under $99: $3.99
Multi-item orders under $30: $5.99
Multi-item orders $30-$98.99: $7.99
$99 or over: FREE

Ticket sales upto the value of $15.00 will incur a $1.00 postage and handling fee. Ticket sales of greater value than $15.00 will be sent by registered mail at a cost of $3.95. Ticket sales cannot be mixed in the shopping basket with other items!

**Discount postage offer applies only for web-store orders delivered in Australia. Prices compared to the standard delivery rates listed in the table below. Offer does not apply to email orders. Every order placed at Koorong's online store receives priority processing!

For Express Delivery to most areas in Australia, place your order by phone before 2.30pm EST and add $4.95 per package.

International Shipping, handling and insurance rates:

New Zealand

Orders under $30: $7.99
Orders $30-$61: $9.49
Orders over $61*: $10.99
Web orders $125 and over FREE
*Please note: We do not charge GST on products shipped overseas. You may need to take this into account when totalling your your order.

Singapore: Add 20% of order value (minimum charge $5)
All other countries: Add the greater of : 40% of order value (minimum charge $5) or $14/kg up to 20kg ($10/kg for orders over 20kg).
