New books and more from the Museum of the Bible

Introduction

The Museum of the Bible is an exciting new US institution that presents a wide range of state-of-the-art exhibits and resources, all aiming to educate the public about every aspect of the Christian Scriptures. Located in a prime position in Washington DC, close to the National Mall and US Capitol, the Museum offers visitors an immersive experience of the history, content, and impact of the Bible, in six floors of beautifully designed learning space. Cutting-edge technology is used to bring the world of the Bible to life, with interactive displays, theatres, and even a top-floor garden featuring biblical plants. Along with its general educational aims, the Museum also supports specialist academic research in the material culture of the biblical world and the languages of biblical manuscripts. Collaborative academic programs are offered to students, leading to participation in the Logos Fellowship, an academic community committed to the integration of Christian faith and the highest standards of scholarship. The Museum’s publishing program enables people of all ages, cultures, and religious backgrounds to discover the Bible’s history, narrative, and impact in areas including arts and entertainment, science and medicine, education and literacy, government and politics, exploration and world commerce, languages, human relations, and many other aspects of culture.
