Device Advice

Please note that Koorong eAudio Books are large downloads that may exceed the download limit for standard 3G/4G data plans which can incur extra usage charges. Assess whether you have a WIFI connection available before attempting to download your purchases direct to your device. If you don’t have a WIFI connection available, we recommend you download to a PC/MAC that you can sync your purchases from.


iPad, iPhone, & iPod

Koorong eAudio Books work best with the music app on your iOS device, however to listen to your purchases you will need to sync them to your device via iTunes from your authorised PC/MAC.

The process for these devices is to:

  1. Download the purchased eAudio Book to your PC/MAC. If downloading the MP3 ZIP file, you need to extract the individual MP3 files to your computer after downloading the ZIP file.
  2. Import the eAudio files into iTunes (you can drag or drop the files, or use the “Add File to Library” or “Add Folder to Library” options found in the “File” menu).
  3. Connect your iOS device and sync the required eAudio Books.
  4. Open the Music app – if you have downloaded M4B files, select the audio books option, otherwise for MP3’s they will appear in your music library.

Android Tablet & Phone

Listening to Koorong eAudio Books on your Android device is simple, however the file format that you download will dictate how your listen to your purchases. For MP3’s, these can be played by the default music player on your device, or any other music player application you have installed. For M4B files, these require a dedicated Audio Book app. If you are downloading the MP3 ZIP package directly then you will also need an app that can open ZIP files. There are various free and paid apps available from the Google Play store for opening M4B and ZIP files. We recommend Smart Audiobook Player, Mortplayer Audiobooks, and Akimbo Audiobook Player for M4B, and AndroZip, WinZip, and RAR for Android for ZIP.

The process for listening to eAudio Books on these devices is:

  1. If you haven’t downloaded eAudio Books previously it may be worth creating an audiobooks folder within your library that you download your purchases to.
  2. Downloaded or sync your purchases, if using the MP3 ZIP option then open the file with your ZIP application and extract to your nominated Audio Books folder.
  3. Listen to the MP3 using your music player of choice, or open the M4B with a dedicated Audio Book player.

Windows Phone or Surface / RT Tablet

Listening to Koorong eAudio Books on your Windows Phone / Surface / RT device is simple, however the file format that you download will dictate how your listen to your purchases. For MP3’s, these can be played by the default music player on your device, or any other music player application you have installed. For M4B files, these require a dedicated Audio Book app. There are various free and paid apps available from the Windows App store for opening M4B files. We recommend Media Monkey Media Player.

The process for listening to eAudio Books on these devices is to:

  1. If you haven’t downloaded eAudio Books previously it may be worth creating an audiobooks folder within your library that you download your purchases to.
  2. Downloaded or sync your purchase, if using the MP3 ZIP option then open and extract to your nominated Audio Books folder.

Kindle & Other Dedicated Reading Devices

The Amazon Kindle and some other dedicated reading devices for eBooks (notably some Sony eReader devices) are reported to be able to play MP3 format audio book files. The ability of these devices to play audio books and the process for transferring and playing purchases will vary, so please see the specific documentation for your device in regards to whether this is possible and how to accomplish this.
