Robert D. Bergen (Ph.D., Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary) is professor of Old Testament and Biblical Languages at Hannibal LaGrange College in Hannibal, Missouri. Stephen J. Andrews (Ph.D., Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion) is Director of the Morton-Seats Institute of Archaeology, and AnthropologyProfessor of Old Testament, Hebrew and Archaeology at Midwestern Seminary.
In his teaching, Andrews draws from his experience on digs in Israel and Jordan. He has also provided articles and book reviews to several scholarly journals as well as writing for Lifeways Biblical Illustrator, InterVarsity's Dictionary of the Old Testament: Pentateuch, the Holman Illustrated Bible Dictionary, the Eerdmans Dictionary of the Bible, and the Mercer Dictionary of the Bible. In addition, he serves as the book review editor of the Midwestern Journal of Theology. His most recent contribution has been 1 & 2 Samuel (Holman's Old Testament Commentary).
