This introduction to theology offers an understanding of what it means to live grounded in God's grace. Grant argues that as humans, we need meaning in our lives. We fulfill this fundamental human need through faith. Drawing on the work of Philosophical and religious figures such as William James, Friedrich Schleiermacher, Wilfred Cantwell smith, H. Richard Niebuhr, and Paul Tillich, Grant presents a constructive argument for understanding Christian faith as commitment to god's grace. Examining biblical and theological precedents, Grants shows us that commitment to God, specifically commitment to living life under God's grace, is at the heart of the Christian gospel for today. When we believe in God's grace, we approach life with the fundamental attitude of gratitude. Seeing the world as graced by God, permeated by the goodness we call love, is at the center of Christian faith.
