Chris Folmsbee

Chris Folmsbee served as a youth pastor for nearly 15 years and now serves as a volunteer youth worker in his local church. He leads Barefoot Ministries, a training and publishing company located in Kansas City, and serves on the staff of Youthfront, an organization committed to bringing youth into a growing relationship with Jesus.
Chris is the author of A New Kind of Youth Ministry; What Did I Sign Up For?: Things Every Youth Ministry Volunteer Should Know and Story, Signs, and Sacred Rhythms: A Narrative Approach to Youth Ministry, and frequently speaks to and trains youth workers, parents, and teenagers throughout North America. Chris resides in Overland Park, Kansas with his wife, Gina, and their three children, Megan, Drew, and Luke.

Mae Elise Cannon

Mae Elise Cannon (cand Ph.D., University of California-Davis) has been in Christian ministry for the last ten years and is currently the Executive Pastor at Hillside Covenant Church in Walnut Creek, California : www.hillsidecovenant.org. She is the author Social Justice Handbook:Small Steps for a Better World.
She formally served as the Director of Development & Transformation at Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, Illinois and has served several years as a chaplain in the Resurrection Health Care System. She has her Masters of Divinity (MDiv) and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from North Park Theological Seminary and School of Nonprofit Management in Chicago, Illinois and Master of Arts degree (MA) in Bioethics from Trinity International University.

Scot McKnight

Scot McKnight (Ph.D., University of Nottingham) is the Karl A. Olsson Professor in Religious Studies at North Park University. Prior to joining the NPU faculty in 1994, he was a professor at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He has written widely on the historical Jesus, Christian spirituality, and the Emerging Church. One of McKnight's more popular books, The Jesus Creed, won the Christianity Today's book award for 2004 in the area of Christian living. McKnight's blog, JesusCreed.org, has been a popular site for Emerging Church discussion.
His other publications include: The Real Mary: Why Evangelical Christians Can Embrace the Mother of Jesus; Praying with the Church: Following Jesus Daily, Hourly, Today; Jesus and His Death: Historiography, the Historical Jesus, and Atonement Theory; Embracing Grace: A Gospel for All of Us; Turning to Jesus: The Sociology of Conversion in the Gospels; The Story of the Christ, with Philip Law; and 1 Peter and Galatians in NIV Application Commentary.


His most recent publications include The Blue Parakeet: Rethinking How You Read the Bible and James (New International Commentary on the New Testament).

Ian Morgan Cron

Ian Morgan Cron is an Episcopal priest, speaker, and the author of Chasing Francis: A Pilgrim's Tale, which was hailed by the Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams, Fr. Richard Rohr, Brian McLaren, and Phyllis Tickle, among others. Ian is currently the curator of the Conversations on Courage and Faith Series at Christ Episcopal Church in Greenwich, CT. He and his wife have three children and divide their time between homes in Connecticut and Tennessee.

Mark Oestreicher (Marko) is a veteran youth worker and former president of Youth Specialties. Kara Powell

Dr. Kara E. Powell is executive director at the Fuller Youth Institute and a faculty member at Fuller Theological Seminary. She has authored or co-authored several books, including Sticky Faith, Essential Leadership, Deep Justice in a Broken World, and Help! I'm a Woman in Youth Ministry. She is the general editor for The Fuller Youth Institute E-Journal and regularly speaks at conferences and seminars. She lives with her husband and three children in Pasadena, California. Mike King

Mike King serves as president of YouthFront, an organization creating environments for youth to experience spiritual transformation, and providing support to churches and youth workers. Mike also serves on the pastoral staff of Jacob's Well Church in Kansas City, Missouri, and is a frequent speaker at conferences and conventions. He and his wife, Vicki, have two sons, a daughter and two daughters-in-law, and he authored Presence-Centered Youth Ministry .

Pamela J Erwin

Pamela Erwin is professor of youth ministry and practical theology at Bethel University, St. Paul, Minnesota. She has over twenty-five years' experience in the field of youth ministry as educator, author, and practitioner.
