Aaron, a T-6 Texan airplane, has so much fun with his friends Tilley, a McDonnell Douglas MD-80, and Kirby, a Cessna 150. They zoom around together flying high and low. You never know where Aaron will be today but he's probably out there helping someone. Kirby needs a repair and Tilley can't find all his passengers. And when Aaron's brother, Mozee, a Boeing 767 Jetliner, almost falls from the sky, guess who's there? Of course, it's Aaron to the rescue...hold on...he's coming. Can he make it on time? Whew...it's no wonder they call him The Helping Hand Airplane!
Teaching and encouraging are my life skills and how better to implement them that through the written word? I have an attachment to children, especially during their years of academic development. Watching them learn, stretch and grow stimulate me. That is why I have chosen to write a children's picture story book. As I observe my grandchildren, it incites me to think of their future and what they will offer to their world as they mature. The book is dedicated to my nine-year-old grandson who lives in Texas. He has a penchant for airplanes, thus, the theme of my book. But I just can't write a fiction story for kids. The story moves the reader on to more depth than just five airplanes in story form. The epilogue aligns with biblical truth and reveals an Old Testament Bible story. It is my desire that young readers will have fun with the story line but also will glean values and truth from it.My husband, Larry, and I live in North Carolina, having served in ministries in three states. We have a son and daughter and four grandchildren.
