An informative, incisive, & independent assessment of America's 100 best colleges & universities bringing to light the intellectual, political, & social conditions at each institution.
-Publisher

Produced by the Intercollegiate Studies Institute (ISI), Choosing the Right College is the most informative, incisive, and independent assessment available of America's 100 best colleges and universities. Based on in-depth research presented in essays averaging over 3,000 words each, this comprehensive guide brings to light the intellectual, political, and social conditions at each institution. Hundreds of professionals with firsthand experience in academic life assess the integrity and rigor of each institution's curriculum, report on its state of academic freedom, list the best professors and departments as well as the most politicized elements of each school, and offer a broad picture of the traditions, student organizations, and settings that make each institution unique. A useful list of facts about each college, including tuition costs, size, and important phone numbers, also accompanies each essay.
