Compared to Her: How to Experience True Contentment

Though De Witt writes clearly and accessibly, she is unafraid to unearth the problems women seem to have with CCS (Compulsive Comparison Syndrome). She invites her readers to first trust her by sharing her own personal fears and thoughts, then reflect with her on the root issue of CCS, and finally apply what we know to how we live. A refreshing read which I would recommend everyone (male OR female) to read annually!

A great book for every woman, regardless of age and background. Sophie gives a detailed overview of Compulsive Comparison Syndrome (or CCS) in a way that is funny and easy to read. She highlights ways we can look down or look up at others that I had never previously thought of and can definitely relate to (for e. g. being proud of my own goodness or 'Christian-ness'). She gives us some really practical advice, and continuously points the reader back to Jesus Christ - in Him we find all satisfaction, security and contentment. \\r\\n\\r\\nA worthwhile read for anybody who is seeking to live a more Christ-like life!

This book is one of those 'keepers' to be re-read from time to time. \\r\\nAs a pastors wife I have often struggled with CCS. \\r\\n\\r\\nTrue contentment is found in the Lord and this book is is a great reminder to me of that!\\r\\nSophie de Witt writes in a simple to understand manner with some great humour along the way.
