On their sophomore release the band reaches out through song on topics such as addiction, abuse, and abandonment and offers hope in the love of God. "This album is about identifying with the pain and insecurity that we all feel as people and finding hope in the love that is far greater than anything we have ever experienced," says Joshua Brown. "I realize we are all in a desperate and constant need of the love of God." It's this passion for connecting with people and encouraging them that sets Day of Fire apart.

Koorong Music Manager's Review July 2006: Day of Fire have played a number of Australian shows and each time they've left audiences amazed at the passion and intensity of their music - front man Josh Brown is one of the most passionate people I've met. This is a great second album and definitely worth a listen.

Day Of Fire

Josh Brown, Day of Fire's lead vocalist was the front man for Full Devil Jacket whose career, whilst short-lived, was hugely successful. With the fame and success, however, came a drug addiction and a heroin overdose in 2000 almost cost Brown his life. He got clean in rehab, but his soul still felt empty so Brown walked away from it all, turned to Christ and found satisfaction that could not be had through fame, fortune and screaming fans.

Brown stopped writing songs of darkness and despair and instead found himself writing songs of freedom with fellow believer/songwriter Gregg Hionis. Essential Records was so impressed with the songs and Josh's story that they signed him. Simms and the Pangallo brothers were also recruited and Day of Fire was born. Day of Fire released their first album in late 2004.
