The idea for this project came when I received an opportunity to spend time exploring the unique sound qualities of a "Stuart and Sons" grand piano. I spent a day just revisiting the church songs that I grew up with. Reflecting on these great songs, I soon got lost in a marriage of beautiful melodies, fond words and even fonder memories, along with the exquisite, sonorous sounds of these beautifully hand-crafted pianos.
The experience quickly became personal - my space and my time. It was a spiritual time of reflection in what was a challenging period of my life. The listener is invited into my own space and will journey with me with these familiar tunes bringing tranquillity and peace to your world. Each arrangement is improvised around a timeless melody and I have endeavoured to not allow the arrangement or musicianship to cloud the melody.
The Australian made piano is renowned for its constant vibration that creates an outstanding dynamic range, longer sustain, great clarity and richness of sound.
To record an album that documents both the sounds of the instrument and my own original voice as an arranger and pianist, is a lifelong memory.

Graeme Press is arguably best known as an arranger, composer and conductor however, for the last 35 years Graeme has lead worship in the local church from the piano. Often for smaller congregations, "Graeme has the ability to engage the congregation in authentic and intimate worship through a sympathetic understanding of a wide range of music styles and an individual sincere desire to connect with a loving God personally and corporately, with those he leads. You will experience through sensitive moments and genuine warmth, that this is more than mere notes on a page or sounds from an instrument."
In 1995, at the request of The Salvation Army USA, Graeme was invited to Atlanta Georgia USA with his wife Neryl, to take on the position of Music Director for the State of Georgia, during which time he was heavily involved in an arts program that ran in conjunction with the Atlanta 1996 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Graeme returned to Australia in 1997 and was appointed as the Music Coordinator for The Salvation Army in Australia (Qld, NSW and ACT).
