Understand yourself and others better as you discover God's original design for your life with this 8-session resource for women. Explore your deepest longings, motives and patterns of thinking and relating, and find deep security and personal significance as you learn to draw more thoroughly on the Father's love for you. This workbook, based on CWR's popular Designed for Living seminar, will help you to uncover and correct harmful beliefs, thought processes and behaviours so you can live life more freely and fully as a child of God
This new workbook by Jeannette Barwick and Helena Wilkinson is designed to complement the course entitled 'Designed for Living - Life as God intended'. Looking at how God originally created men and women in His image, the eight Bible-based sessions take participants stage by stage through a process of exposing wrong beliefs, thought processes and behaviours to being restored into the divine image and empowered to live to their full potential as children of God. The eight sessions look at the following topics: Life as God intended; Hungry for something; Ways we hold back; Affirming our value; Recognising our behaviour; Directing our thoughts; Channelling our emotions; and, Safeguarding our bodies. Endorsed by Jennifer Rees Larcombe, the truths in this workbook are described as permanently life-changing. She states: 'I genuinely have never been the same person since!...I'm no longer afraid to be the person God created me to be, as I find my identity in Him.'
After working as a research assistant in the psychiatric department of a Zulu hospital, Helena Wilkinson trained in counselling. For four years she was the Editor of "Carer and Counsellor". She is the author of six books and numerous booklets, and is a member of the Society of Authors and the Society of Women Writers and Journalists. Helena was the Found of Kainos Trust for eating disorders, and operated as Director until January 2004 when she joined the full-time team of Nicholaston House, a Christian healing centre on Gower, attached to Swansea City Mission.
