The book of Exodus brings to us the history of God's chosen people, their wilderness wanderings and the leadership of Moses. Perhaps nowhere is God's patience and love better portrayed than in the book of Exodus. Even though the Israelites wandered in the wilderness, the Father's love pursued them. F.B. Meyer gives rich insight into Exodus which he so frequently displays in his writings. As you study this commentary, the warm sunshine of God's revelation will energize your life with practical concepts. You will find it descriptive, directive and devotional. The pastor will receive much sermon source material, the teacher will find a fresh spring of helpful ideas and the layperson will be inspired and uplifted by the practical applications made from the Scriptures for everyday living as brought out in this commentary.
