John Drane explores how we can create a spirituality that is authentically Christ-centered yet relevant and attractive to the 21st century world. The last decade of this century, with its renewed emphasis on spiritual values, has not meant good news for the Church. To today's generation, the Church is seen as outmoded and irrelevant and those who are genuinely searching for a spiritual dimension to life, have little expectation of finding it in our churches and look to other worldviews, or simply within themselves. This presents the church with an enormous yet exciting challenge as we approach the new millenium. Going back to the Gospels to discover afresh the impact that Jesus made on people as he encountered them, John Drane suggests practical strategies for worship and evangelism that every local church and every individual Christian can learn from.
