Kathryn Kuhlman
Kathryn Johanna Kuhlman (1907-1976) was born in Concordia, Missouri, to German-American parents. She underwent a born-again experience at the age of fourteen in the Methodist Church of Concordia, and within two years began preaching, primarily in Baptist churches. Kuhlman traveled extensively around the United States and in many other countries holding "healing crusades" between the 1940s and 1970s. She became one of the most renowned miracle preachers in the world; hundreds of thousands of attendees at her meetings claimed to have received healings. Kuhlman had a weekly TV program in the 1960s and 1970s called I Believe In Miracles, as well as a regular 30-minute radio broadcast - both aired nationally in the US. Kuhlman's methods have had a major influence on faith healer Benny Hinn, who has written a book about her.
