Joan M. Thomas, R.N., B.S. is the mother of two sons and the grandmother of four. Her Moravian memories began in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where she was raised and attended the Moravian Church. Joan now lives in Des Moines, Washington with her husband Dick where she is a liaison for the Moravian Northwest Fellowship. She is an avid collector of Moravian artifacts and a known speaker on customs, traditions, and the early Moravians who lived and acted by faith. Although Joan had no formal training in art or music she illustrated the story and composed the song for "Mimi's Gift."
