Alan Tippett

Alan Tippett, (PhD University of Oregon) an Australian anthropologist who had been a Methodist Missionary for many years in Fiji, was the first full-time faculty member in 1965, when Fuller Theological Seminary opened its School of World Mission. He authored a number of missiological books including Introduction to Missiology, The Deep Sea Canoe, Aspects of Pacific Ethnohistory and Church growth and the word of God: The Biblical basis of the church growth viewpoint-Editorial Review.
