The local enrollment of Wisdom of the Word eventually exceeded 1,000. Wisdom of the Word has been an instrument in uniting the community of believers as well as reaching the unchurched and the lost. Isaiah's vision of God has given hope to countless generations. His proclamations of God's impending judgment have given the world the proper balance between God's expansive love and His absolute holiness. Isaiah is easily among the Bible's most well known prophets. It was he who uttered those timeless five words that have challenged Christians throughout the centuries to yield themselves to God unreservedly: "Here am I. Send Me!" (6:8). It was he who shared God's incredible invitation that has rung through the ages: "Come now, let us reason together...Through your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool" (1:18). Though obviously grieved by his countrymen's departure from the God who loved them so much, Isaiah never gave up expressing the ache of the Creator's heart for His people to return to them, to allow them to experience His love in all its fullness. This intriguing 10-week study explores fascinating insights into the first 39 chapters of this landmark Old Testament book and challenged all believers top take a closer look at the Heavenly Father who pursues them with a relentless love that won't satisfied until they come home.
