This book is for the person who wants to know where he fits in relation to God. Is God for me? Does God like people? Is He angry with people? What must a person do to get right with God? What should he do to stay right with God? What is expected of a believer or a Christian? A major premise of the book is that the person seeking after God should start with God rather than with himself. Everybody has a world view by which assessments and judgements are made. It is suggested that for both the enquirer and the believer that he start not with his world view but with God's view. The first part of this book therefore focuses upon the work of God. The second part of the book focuses upon our response to the work of God. Interestingly we are called human beings but we all act like we are human 'doings'. Is this what God wants from us - our doing? Or does He want us to "rest in Him" and if so how do we rest? It is in the context of our response to Him that topics such as sin, grace, judgement, law and righteousness are examined. Finally when Jesus died over 2000 years ago, He declared "It is finished". What was finished was designed to become our starting point in life. This book explores how His finish becomes our start in life both now and for eternity.
