The deity of Jesus has been questioned by many theologians. In this volume Donald Macleod considers crucial evidence for the deity of Jesus. Macleod begins by examining three important descriptions from the New Testament itself: 'God over all', 'Jesus is Lord' and 'The Son of Man'. Then he surveys the influence of Arianism, including the effect it had on the famous hymnwriter Isaac Watts and on the well-known author Philip Doddridge. He follows this with a chapter on the doctrine of the Incarnation in Scottish theology where he responds to such theologians as Donald Baillie, James Denney and T. F. Torrance. The final two chapters consider the Christologies of Jurgen Moltmann and Wolfhart Pannenberg. Donald Macleod is also the author of The Person of Christ, Behold Your God, The Spirit of Promise, Shared Life, and A Faith to Live By.

The second book in the series following on from the bestselling Rainforest AdventuresChildren are fascinated with the natural world around them and with facts and information about animals that they have never seen. However often good nature programmes on T.V. or articles in magazines centre on evolution and completely ignore the Creator. Each story has a Bible verse and lesson for the reader to take away. Written by someone who spent his life in the Rainforest this book has the added benefit of being written by someone who has been there lived there and experienced the culture not just someone who has read the encyclopaedias.

The Expository Times once contained a famous article by Vincent Taylor asking the question `Does the New Testament call Jesus God?'. Taylor's conclusion was that the only clear statement of Jesus' deity was Thomas' words `My Lord and my God.' In a later article in Expository Times Dr Michael Austin dismissed even this. His conclusion? `The New Testament makes no unambiguous claim to Jesus' divinity.' Donald Macleod is recognised as one of the leading theologians alive. He is also able to explain complex thoughts with simplicity and clarity. This is his contribution to the debate on Christology. It builds on his previous writings about the Godhead, and is a new work of international academic standing that is a rigorous theological defence of Christ's deity, particulary with reference to the works of Jurgen Moltmann and Wolfhart Pannenberg.
