The one sacrifice God asks of us is obedience, says Andrew Murray. He explains how Christians can learn obedience by abiding in Christ - using the Scriptures as a daily textbook - and depending wholly on Jesus, the Master teacher. True obedience is the natural outcome of an intimate relationship with Christ. Spending time in the Word and in prayer every day is part of the secret. Our greatest example of such obedience is that of Jesus to His Father. Through His life on earth we see the rewards of living an obedient life.
Both practical and inspirational, A LIFE OF OBEDIENCE speaks as clearly to Christians today as it did a century ago, when it was first published. This edition is newly edited for today's reader.
Andrew Murray traces obedience through the Bible, from Genesis to the ?nal chapter of Revelation, in a warm, inspirational devotional study. It looks at the issue of obedience in the lives of Bible characters and focuses the reader??'s attention on the obedience of Christ. Practical as well as inspiring, A Life of Obedience speaks to today??'s reader as clearly as it did to his audience a century ago.
