The 'Purpose Book' series authored by Jonathon Cooper are delightful stories to encourage young readers that they are dearly loved and uniquely designed. In the book 'Little Teapot', God the Maker is a kind and caring potter who is intimately involved in every step of the creation process. In 'Little Green', God is the Gardner who attends to the vine and cultivates the grapes. Both stories highlight that we are all created for a purpose, challenged to grow stronger in our Christian walk and called to live fruitful lives serving God and helping others. The stories come alive with fun and vibrant illustrations by Ayesha Deane, from India.
Jonathan Cooper has been a primary teacher in a Christian School for over six years and is passionate about children growing in their relationship with Jesus Christ. He is a regular speaker at the schools chapel services and has also led Bible studies for children in his classroom at lunchtimes. He currently lives in the country town called Maitland situated two hours north of Sydney. Jonathan began writing childrens stories to illustrate spiritual truths found in the Bible. He hopes that his stories will capture childrens imaginations as well as imparting these truths.
Ayesha D.Z. Deane has lived in India since her birth in 1984, except for two years when she lived in Australia. She won her first prize for art at the age of three and art has been her passion ever since. Her illustrations for childrens books are simple and playful. Bold colours bring out the mood of each page. Her artwork speaks to the viewer and it is her intention to create art that makes you think.
