Few theologians have done more to advance the course of modern evangelical thought than Millard Erickson. To honor his remarkable career, 26 distinguished scholars survey the vigorous evangelical currents within the stream of nearly all theological disciplines. Featuring penetrating essays from Alister McGrath, Walter Kaiser, Carl Henry, and others, this volume successfully encapsulates evangelicalism's influence.
In honor of Erickson's sixty-fifth birthday, David S. Dockery has assembled an international, ecumenical team of scholars to reflect on the status of evangelical thought at the turn of the millennium. The result is a stimulating survey of evangelical currents within the broad streams of nearly all theological disciplines. The collection of essays will prove useful not only to students and scholars but to thoughtful pastors and interested laypeople who wish to keep informed.
