David W. Baker (Ph.D., University of London) is professor of Old Testament at Ashland Theological Seminary and the monograph editor for the Evangelical Theological Society. He is the author and editor of numerous books, including The Dictionary of the Old Testament: Pentateuch, and commentaries on the Minor Prophets for both the Tyndale Old Testament Commentary series and for NIV Application Commentary.
His other commentaries include Numbers (The Believers Church Bible Commentary), Genesis (Apollos Old Testament Commentary), Introduction to the Pentateuch, co-authored with and L. Daniel Hawk, Leviticus (Cornerstone Biblical Commentary), Isaiah (Zondervan Illustrated Bible Backgrounds Commentary) and 1 & 2 Kings (Teach the Text Commentary Series)

T. Desmond Alexander (Ph.D., Queen's University, Belfast) is director of Christian training, Union Theological College, Belfast, and formerly lecturer in Semitic studies at The Queen's University in Belfast. He is the author of From Paradise to the Promised Land: An Introduction to the Main Themes of the Pentateuch; From Eden to the New Jerusalem: Exploring Gods plan for life on earth; Abraham in the Negev; The Book of Exodus (Apollos Old Testament Commentary) and Jonah (Tyndale Old Tesament Commentary), and he is a coeditor (with Brian S. Rosner) of the New Dictionary of Biblical Theology and The Dictionary of the Old Testament: Pentateuch (with David W. Baker).

Bruce Waltke

Bruce K. Waltke (Th.D., Dallas Theological Seminary; PhD., Harvard Divinity School) is acknowledged to be one of the outstanding contemporary Old Testament scholars. He is professor of Old Testament at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida, and Professor Emeritus of biblical studies at Regent College in Vancouver.
He has authored and co-authored numerous books, commentaries, and articles, and contributed to dictionaries and encyclopedias.


His most recent works are An Old Testament Theology; Proverbs 1-15, Proverbs 16-31 (New International Commentary on the Old Testament) and major commentaries on Genesis and Micah. On a popular level he has written Finding the Will of God: A Pagan Notion? and The Psalms: A Devotional Commentary.
