"In spite of disappointment, weariness, and perhaps sorrow, His goodness and mercy does follow us all the days of our lives."^^Her tales, which formed the basis for The Little House on the Prairie television series touched the hearts of millions. Laura Ingalls Wilder shares the faith and wisdom distilled from a lifetime of difficulties and triumphs.^^These writings give us a glimpse into the life and thoughts of this remarkable woman as she illuminates timeless truths and practical insights: "It is rather the lack of Christianity that has brought us where we are. Not a lack of churches or religious forms but of the real thing in our hearts."^^Saving Graces stands as an encouragement to anyone at any point in life. Plainly yet profoundly, Wilder recounts incidents that we stumble across everyday, pointing us to the eternal wisdom of God and His Scriptures amidst the roughest or warmest of circumstances. Her humble convictions remind us of our need for God-"Oh Lord, be merciful to me a fool."^
