Essays on scripture, tradition and reason; at the heart of every major issue confronting the life and thought of all the Christian Churches today, in honour of R. P. C. Hanson
-Publisher

This important collection, a tribute to R. P. C. Hanson, explores the relationship and relative authority of Scripture, Tradition, and Reason, on which many international, social, and individual problems turn, whether implicitly or explicitly. Has one of them a primacy or veto over the other two? How can their respective influence in the past be evaluated, and what should it be in this modern age?
