John Dalrymple
John Dalrymple, who died in 1985, was a parish priest in Edinburgh, a lecturer, chaplain of St Andrew s University, spiritual director and counsellor. He founded Martin House, a refuge for homeless mothers and children, and was the author of many books and articles including this much loved classic work on prayer.
