The Secret to Unlocking God's Favor, Power, and Visitation

We hear about healings, miracles, dead-raisings and other breakthroughs happening in other parts of the world. Why not in our own nation? Despite our best church growth strategies, we tolerate a powerless, spiritually anemic culture.

In Snakes in the Temple, David Orton, boldly confronts modern idolatry in the church. He exposes its ancient roots and how it impacts every single believer-from church leadership to everyday Christians.

Open your eyes and discover how:

• Idolatry is the hidden stronghold that prevents the church from enjoying God's favor.

• "The beast," the spirit of Jezebel, and power structures of ministry leadership restrain breakthrough.

• To break strongholds of idolatry and build new cultures based on Heaven's blueprint.

• God's breakthrough solution to recapturing His presence and reaping the global harvest is deep repentance.

David Orton

David Orton BA (Biblical Studies) Dip Min

David has served as a pastor, teacher, and ministry leader for over 30 years. He was a catalytic leader for citywide pastor's prayer summits across Australia touching hundreds of pastors from more than 20 denominations and served as the convener of the 'Open Heavens Over Australia Conference', designed to call the Australian church to a higher level of God's manifest presence. He has also recently pioneered Leadershift, an emerging experimental configuration of apostolic relationships.

David is a prophetic teacher and as the founder of Lifemessenger carries a word for breakthrough, particularly in the Western church. He is committed to seeing an emerging church across all nations and denominations restored to the apostolic foundation of intimacy with the Father. Communicating through conferences, schools, publishing, and electronic media he has a vision of the holiness of God and of global transformation.

David's book Snakes in the Temple: Unmasking Idolatry in Today's Church issues a fresh call to spiritual breakthrough in the Western church (published 2004 by Sovereign World UK).

David and Jenny were married in 1974 after graduating from Bible College. Jenny also holds a diploma of ministry and a BA, majoring in history. He and Jenny are the parents of two young-adult children, Daniel and Virginia, and reside on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, Melbourne, Australia.
