After working as a research assistant in the psychiatric department of a Zulu hospital, Helena Wilkinson trained in counselling. For four years she was the Editor of "Carer and Counsellor". She is the author of six books and numerous booklets, and is a member of the Society of Authors and the Society of Women Writers and Journalists. Helena was the Found of Kainos Trust for eating disorders, and operated as Director until January 2004 when she joined the full-time team of Nicholaston House, a Christian healing centre on Gower, attached to Swansea City Mission.
