A survival guide for Christians. Being a child of God in a world that is alien to God has never been an easy proposition. There are times for the Christian when life is a struggle. Opposition arises, problems develop, situations seem hopeless and all this causes frustration and sometimes despair. But the problems and difficulties of the Christian life are no grounds for despair because out of every battle comes victory. The phrase 'struggling but winning' sums up the lives of many godly men. The Old Testament characters featured epitomise men and women of God in all generations. Fears, confusion and doubt abound, but so too does victory as they keep their eyes on God and trust him in spite of all the struggles. - Publisher.
Western Civilization has produced a culture that cares little or nothing for God. Only one thing is going to change all this, and that is for men and wome to be truly saved and made new in Christ. The three things that Peter Jeffery believes will help accomplish this are a concern for God's glory, a concern for lost souls and a concern to be obedient to the commands of Christ. If the Church will focus on these things we will be not ask, "How shall they hear?" but proclaim, "here am I, Lord. Send me!"
Peter Jeffery began his ministry in Cwmbran, South Wales, before serving Rugby Evangelical Free Church in the Midlands during a period of remarkable growth and then moving to the famous Bethlehem Church in Sandfields. Now retired, he continues to be in demand as a gospel preacher on both sides of the Atlantic.
