The victory of the Australian Light Horse at Beersheba on 31 October 1917 was a pivotal moment in the chain of events that led to the founding of modern Israel. In this stirring book, Jill Curry calls today's Aussie Christians to become 'spiritual Anzacs' and fulfil our prophetic destiny!
The ANZAC victory at Beersheba on October 31, 1917, was not only the pivotal event that changed the tide of history for the Middle East but also the key that propelled biblical prophecy into a new era. God used the daring and adventurous spirit of the ANZACs to bring the ultimate breakthrough that turned the course of the Middle Eastern campaign and paved the way for the re-gathering of the Jews, the re-establishment of the nation of Israel and the preparation for Jesus' return as King. The ANZAC Call is going forth for the nation and the church to celebrate the centenary of this event, which also occurs on the 500th anniversary of Luther's challenge to the church that led to the Protestant Reformation. We have remembered our ANZAC losses; now let's celebrate our ANZAC victories! Will a new army of spiritual Anzac warriors arise to take up the challenge to complete spiritually what our ANZAC forefathers began physically and initiate a new reformation? Our nations' destiny is at stake.
Jill Curry lived in Israel from 1997-2001 involved in worship ministry, teaching, research and writing. Upon returning to Australia, she birthed the Jewish Prayer Focus Ministry, supporting God's work amongst the Messianic congregations in Israel and abroad, and praying for the salvation of the Jews. Jill has led several intercessory prayer tours to Israel and other nations along the ANZAC route, and biblically relevant places. The prayer and research involved, plus "boots on the ground experiences", have culminated in the writing of this book.
