The Bible Atlas provides the ideal accompaniment to Bible studies. Fifteen large-format coloured maps constitute a detailed guide to the places mentioned in both the Old and New Testaments, from the distribution of the nations after the Flood to the churches established and mentioned in the Book of Revelation.
Historically, it shows the route of the Exodus through the Wilderness to Canaan, the settlement of the tribes there, and the subsequent kingdoms of, first an united Israel as ruled by Saul, David and Solomon, and then the two kingdoms of Judaea and Israel. The New Testament maps afford readers geographical reference to the places mentioned during Christ's ministry, as well as Paul's extensive missionary journeys in the eastern Aegean. At the centre of the Bible story is Jerusalem, and there are detailed maps of both the city and its surroundings, allowing the reader to follow the journeys of Christ between Galilee and the south.
In addition to each map, there are explanatory notes describing in detail the histories of specific places and their relevance to the events in the two Testaments. Biblical references throughout the text enable instant correlation with specific passages in the Bible, and there are sixty-five coloured illustrations.
The Bible Atlas also makes the ideal companion to the previously published Chronological Atlas of the Bible.
