:

Next Chapter After the Last is the compilation of editorials that A.W. Tozer wrote on various topics concerning the Christian such as death, resurrection and orthodoxy. In Next Chapter After the Last, once again the compilation of Alliance Life editorials by A.W. Tozer shows he was not afraid to attack unorthodox views of the resurrection and the gospel. In Next Chapter after the Last, Tozer wants the church to keep orthodoxy in check. We, as Christians often see death and refer to death as the final chapter; however, Tozer saw another chapter after death, the resurrection and new life. The next chapter after the last is the one that affirms our Christian orthodoxy. It is not something that Tozer needs to be prophetic about because it is so clear in scripture and is clear in the teachings of Jesus Christ, his own death and resurrection and it is a fundamental of the Christian faith. In the 39 compiled editorials of this book, Next Chapter After the Last, we see how passionate Tozer was about this subject, how he expected great things from this next chapter, and how he expected us to know this to be fact and to understand that we should enter into this subject so important in our lives without a troubled heart but with joy, a forthright attitude and biblical authority on our side.

Harry Verploegh (Comp)

Harry Verploegh was a graphic artist and the compiler of several books, including 3,000 Quotations from George MacDonald, before his death.

A W Tozer

A. W. Tozer died in 1963, but his life and spiritual legacy continue to draw many into a deeper knowledge of God. During his lifetime, Tozer pastored several Christian and Missionary Alliance churches. Missions and the deeper life in Christ were his primary focus. He also served as editor of the Alliance Life. Tozer authored more than 40 books, (at least two of which are considered classics: The Pursuit of God and Knowledge of the Holy), a tremendous accomplishment for a man who never received a formal theological education. The presence of God was his classroom, his notebooks and tools consisted of prayer, God's Word, and the writings of early Christians and theologians, the Puritans, and great men of faith. - Publisher.
