William H. Willimon is Presiding Bishop of the Birmingham Area of The United Methodist Church. Prior to his current position he served for twenty years as Professor of Christian Ministry and Dean of Duke University Chapel. He is the author of fifty books and over a million copies of his books have been sold including Sighing for Eden: Sin, Evil, and the Christian Faith, Thank God It's Friday, Conversations with Barth on Preaching, Proclamation and Theology, Sinning Like a Christian, Pastor: The Theology and Practice of Ordained Ministry and Proclamation And Theology: Horizons in Theology Series (Horizons in Theology)His articles have appeared in many publications including The Christian Ministry, Quarterly Review, Liturgy, Worship, and Christianity Today. DARIUS L. SALTER is senior pastor at Richardson, Texas, Church of the Nazarene. Elizabeth Achtemeier taught Bible and Homiletics at Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, Virginia. She was an ordained minister of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A), a preacher, and the author of a number of books, including "Nature, God, and the Pulpit" and "Preaching from the Minor Prophets".

Her books Powers, Weakness, and the Tabernacling of God and The Unnecessary Pastor with Eugene Peterson both received Christianity Today's book award in the category of the Church/Pastoral Leadership. Her other books has been quite provocative with regard to contemporary trends in worship and society such as Reaching Out Without Dumbing Down; Is It A Lost Cause? and A Royal Waste of time.
Most recently she has authored Being Well When We're Ill: Wholeness and Hope in Spite of Infirmity and In the Beginning, GOD: Creation, Culture, and the Spiritual Life.

Hailed as the world's preacher, the late Billy Graham had a career spanning over half a century. He preached the Gospel to more people in a live-audience format than anyone else in history - more than 210 million people, in more than 185 countries and territories through various meetings, including Mission World and Global Mission.
Born William Franklin Graham, Jr. in Charlotte, North Carolina, 17 November 1918, he entered the ministry in 1943 and soon began conducting evangelistic crusades. In 1950, he founded The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, which has sponsored crusades and produced radio and television programs as well as films.
Dr. Graham wrote many books, a number of which became bestsellers. His autobiography, Just As I Am, published in 1997, achieved a "triple crown", appearing simultaneously on the three top best-seller lists in one week.
Dr. Graham passed away 21 February 2018.
Dr. Eugene H. Peterson is a pastor, scholar, author, and poet. He has written nearly thirty influential books including, Praying with the Psalms; Praying with Jesus; Reversed Thunder; Leap Over a Wall; Run with the Horses and Answering God , but he is best known for The Message: The Bible in Contemporary Language a contemporary paraphrase of the Bible.
Eugene Peterson was educated at Seattle Pacific University, New York Theological Seminary, and Johns Hopkins University, and in 1962, Peterson became founding pastor of Christ Our King Presbyterian Church in Bel Air, Maryland, where he served for 29 years before retiring. He is Professor Emeritus of Spiritual Theology at Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia retiring in 2002.
His most recent publications have been the Spiritual Theology Series including Eat this Book; Christ Dances in a Thousand Places; The Word Made Flesh; The Jesus Way and the fifth volume Practising Resurrection.
