Michael Cavanaugh
A motivating speaker in great demand, Michael Cavanaugh travels extensively, challenging thousands to total commitment to Jesus Christ. He has ministered extensively in the United States and overseas and has appeared on The 700 Club and The Trinity Broadcasting Network. He has also been a frequent guest lecturer at Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas, and has spoken at several Christian festivals during Creation, Fishnet, and Kingdom Bound.Cavanaugh is the founder of B.A.S.I.C. (Brothers And Sisters In Christ), a local church-based college ministry, and MTS (Mobilized To Serve), a nationwide single adult ministry. B.A.S.I.C. was established in 1980 to aid local churches in reaching out to college campuses in their areas. The ministry currently serves students on many campuses. MTS was formed in 1981 to "equip and mobilize singles for service in the Body of Christ." Since that time, more than fifty thousand single adults in both the United States and Canada-including the divorced, the widowed, and single parents-have attended its conferences and singles days.Cavanaugh has served as instructor of evangelism and preaching at Elim Bible Institute and is currently on its Board of Directors. He also serves as an elder of Elim Fellowship. A graduate of Elim Bible Institute and Roberts Wesleyan College, Cavanaugh is continuing his studies in the Doctor of Ministry program at Northwest Graduate School of Ministry in Seattle. He and his wife, Terri, have been married for more than twenty-five years. They have three children.
