CWR present a further two titles in the highly regarded Cover to Cover study guide series. These books continue to provide a unique resource for group and individual study sessions lasting between one to two hours. Each book consists of seven stimulating sessions and includes opening ice-breakers, Bible references, discussion starters and suggestions for personal application. There is an introduction that sets the topic in context as well as helpful notes for group leaders. Grace is a far more rich and complex gift than most of us recognise. And our Christian lives would be all the richer and more meaningful if we could really grasp something of its profundity. Based on the parable of the prodigal son, each of these seven studies explores a different aspect of grace. A parable is a story which allows the listener to "draw their own conclusions", and that is how Jesus intended this to be used. This is a story about a man who lost two sons, one to a life of reckless living and the other to a life of religious pride. Above all it is a hard-hitting challenge to the religious Jews to discover the meaning God's grace. These studies are more than a biblical exploration of grace! The author's hope is that we may all live in a fuller awareness of the "amazing grace of Jesus" day by day.
Seven studies exploring a different aspect of grace, all based on the parable of the prodigal son. That famous story relates how a man lost two sons, one to a life of reckless living and the other to a life of religious pride: and suggests that worldly sins may be easier to overcome and repent than the sins of the spirit.
