Waterdogs – the strange, elusive clouds that signal the coming of precious rain to the country. Just one of many things Mikaela Gordon must learn in her new life Mikaela has moved to a place like no other she has ever known. Turramore is a small Australian town in the middle of a farming district, and for the city born-and-bred teacher, this is going to be one tough year. Not only does she have to cope with her new country life, she is forced to deal with a bad-tempered school principal, and a young farmer who is convinced she'll never last in the outback. But as the year progresses, Mikaela discovers there is more to country folk than meets the eye. As she gradually learns about the township and its people, she begins to uncover a dark secret, a secret that calls for forgiveness and healing. But will the faith she has known for so long stand firm in the trials at Turramore, or will it be lost in the bitterness and tragedy she is yet to face?
