Jennifer Moore grew up in Brisbane and trained as a speech pathologist at the University of Queensland. After working in Toowoomba for two years, she married Bruce, a Victorian farmer, and moved to the small Mallee town of Beulah. It was during her eighteen months in Beulah that she learnt about country life and was inspired to write a book. Her husbands call to become a minister led them to Melbourne, which was to be their home for the next nine years. Jennifer has authored three books The Waterdogs, The Copper House and Mountain Ash Road
