A beautifully illustrated book which integrates peculiar characteristics from some of Australia's popular birds with personal life skills which young people need to do life better. The book is aimed at preteen and teenagers. The colorful bird photographs make the book a delight also for younger children. The author has integrated his birding photography and observations with family counselling studies to produce this uniquely rewarding work to instruct and encourage sound decision making in a non confronting manner, through the example of the behaviour of the birds.
William 'Ashley' Hewson resides in Sydney, Australia and has spent most of his life working in medical science laboratories, from which he has recently retired. Ashley has enjoyed his weekends and vacation times exploring the beautiful outdoors of Australia with his wife, who shares his passion for studying and photographing Australian birds. Ashley has united his birding passion with his passion for lifestyle and family counselling (Adv. Dip. of Counselling & Family Therapy) to produce this unique book which integrates sound life values with the peculiar characteristics of popular Australian birds. Ashley is aware, from his own childhood experiences, of the need to encourage and assist the healthy development of our young people in making wise life choices. He hosts a website and weekly blog which also complements his book. This book is a legacy to his four grandchildren. The book was originally inspired by Jesus words: "Look at [Learn from] the birds of the air..." - Matthew 6:26
