In "What Not to Expect," Dr. Keith W. Frome takes us through dozens of things families experience every day--winning and losing, eating, falling down, pooping--and shows how each of these things catch us offguard. Part of being a parent is that we don't know what to expect. We need to embrace the disappointments and delightful surprises as the spiritual heart of parenthood. Written as a complement to the Expecting series, "What Not to Expect" is thoughtful and humorous, drawing from Dr. Frome's Ivy League education and his vast knowledge of the world's spiritual and religious traditions.
