Going on the pony trek to the beach is a dream come true for twelve-year-old Milly- trekking over high hills, swimming Peony in the sea, galloping along the beach. But when tragedy strikes, the excitement turns to tears.
Adventures, dramas, laughter and some tears are all part of the rich tapestry of the Boom family's third year of living in their ninety-year-old barn. Milly's days are full to the brim as she cares for her animals, milks her cow, enjoys adventures with her brothers and sisters, and helps Mum and Dad build the new family home. She is as happy as a cricket. But that doesn't stop her lying awake at night, dreaming of hitching Peony to a wagon, climbing into the high wagon seat and picking up the reins.
:Continues the adventures of the Boom family for another year, as they live in a 90- year-old barn on a small block of land just outside Whangarei, New Zealand. Milly's day are filled to the brim caring for her animals, milking cows, playing with her brothers and sisters, and helping her parents build the new family home. Suggested level: primary, intermediate, junior secondary.

Rosie Boom
Rosie lives with her husband, Chris, and their six children, Josiah, Kate, Eliza, Emily, Samuel and Jacob in a barn in Whangarei, New Zealand (while they build a new family home). Rosie spent three years as a young child in Papua New Guinea, where her parents were missionaries. After graduating from her nursing training, she spent a year in Borneo as a missionary. It was here that Chris came to visit her and declare his love - the rest is history!
Rosie and Chris are singer/songwriters, and have had the joy of encouraging and challenging Christians in many different countries. They have released a number of CDs which are available on their web site. Rosie has also published a children's book, The Happy Prince. Rosie is a sought after speaker at women's conferences, missions and home-schooling conventions, and churches, where she loves to speak about her passions - missions, family, and Jesus.
