Yet the church has often found it difficult to find and maintain this balance. Today some are emphasizing deeds at the expense of words, while others hold fast to “talking” and forsake the doing. Duane Litfin

Litfin is serving in his eleventh year as president of Wheaton College in Illinois. He holds an undergraduate degree in biblical studies and a master's degree in theology as well as doctorates from Purdue University and Oxford University.
