Wot 4 & Y?: Asking Those Naughty Questions About Stuff You're Just Supposed to Accept Without Question.

Ronald Birksmith

Paperback 2022-01-09

PENRITH, Australia - Who is God? What his relationship with Yeshua the Messiah/Jesus Christ? What is being a Christian all about? Why do Christians do all the ritualistic and sacramonial things out of custom and tradition? What is meant by the resurrection of the body? What is sin and against who is it directed? Ronald Birksmith, in his first publishing foray "WOT 4 & Y?", offers a collection of articles that address the difficult questions Christians have been afraid to ask.

This spirituality book explores the scriptural basis of some of the questions the author has had as a Christian and how it all began. Birksmith discusses how, through the years, the church has embellished much of the original ordinances and teachings, making it difficult to ascertain why people should blindly believe and act as they were taught. Here, he presents an uncomplicated explanation of what precipitated the original events and principles of the religious ordinances. By sharing his insights gained from studying the Bible, the author hopes to encourage Christians to continue being pilgrims - but more informed pilgrims.

"Throughout my ministry and engaging with the normal, average people, I have noted a confusion over the reasons and ways we address the various ordinances (sacraments) in the churches," Birksmith states. |This book is a distillation of much of my research with the hope that it might ease the anxiety for some and/or calm the uncertain."

When asked what he wants readers to take away from the book, the author responds, "If one accepts that God loves you then it is important that you ascertain what it is that God is saying to you as an individual about your life and your place in the world. Ritual or Liturgic practices, no matter how important they may be, must be an outward expression of what is real inside the individual. It is of no value at all if it is an 'imposed' action purely for sacramonial purposes."
