Cd

In Genesis 32 we read the story of Jacob wrestling with God through the night. On the other side of Jacob's divine encounter was a new name, a new blessing, a new identity and a new way of walking (literally). Will we be a worshipping people who are not content to sleep through the night (spiritually speaking) and wake in the morning unchanged? Like Jacob, will we enter into the wrestle with God, dare to know Him more intimately and be changed in the process?

This is the premise for Hillsong Worship's 26th live praise and worship album. The title, "THERE IS MORE", truly is a statement-of-belief more than a record title. As Brooke Ligertwood writes, "THERE IS MORE at stake than we dare realise - souls, communities, families, nations on the other side of our wrestle through the night seasons. Our personal freedom is for corporate revival.

THERE IS MORE of God and more to God and His love than we can possible conceive of." With songs such as, "Who You Say I Am", "Be Still", "The Passion" and "New Wine", "THERE IS MORE" strikes the balance of contemplative devotion and powerful declarations of praise for both individuals and congregations alike.

The prophetic proclamation that "THERE IS MORE" is certainly a theme of Hillsong Church in 2018. Global Senior Pastor Brian Houston's book and the annual Hillsong Conference carry the same name, "THERE IS MORE".

This isn't just any music album, these are truly songs written in biblical truth which will stir up hearts into worship in the deepest way. Each song ministers in a different way and I see many lives changed simply by lingering in moments of worship.

Whether you've never heard a worship album, or whether you've heard a 1000, this album is still one that you would be blessed by.

Hillsong Worship "There Is More' Album Review
2 stars By Adrian Tan, May 07 2018
While there are no really bad tracks here, there are hardly any that stand out or are really memorable either. It plays like a collection of b-side tracks which did not make the previous albums. Most of the songs are repetitive and uninspired, and the album just fades into background after the first couple of tracks. I'm hoping that there will "be more" in the next Hillsong release.

Review
5 stars By Timothy Yap, Apr 23 2018
Any encounter with God, combat or surrender, will always result in more. This is the premise of Hillsong Worship's 26th non-seasonal live album, "There is More." Citing the Biblical example of Jacob: the patriarch, who wrestled with an angel before surrendering, not only received a new name but a new purpose. This album presents 11 encounters with God which hopefully will result in more soundtracks of worship in churches for the years to come. Interestingly, this is also the first Hillsong live album to feature art work of the aforementioned struggle between the angel and Jacob.

Brooke (Fraser) Ligertwood who had recently won the Aussie megachurch team a Grammy Award by co-penning their #1 hit "What a Beautiful Name" naturally gets the lion's share as far as songwriting and microphone time are concerned. She is prominently featured as the lead vocalist of vanguard single "Who You Say I Am." Exploring how Christ's redemptive work reforms our identity, this new anthem ballad is a "must-sing" for all who suffer from broken self-images and self-esteems. Ligertwood strikes the heart in an affective way with the acoustic version of "Remembrance" (only available on the deluxe version), a thoughtful prayer about our need to remember the Cross in our daily work.
