Meet the Authors

Mildred Colvin

Mildred Colvin and her husband are from El Dorado Springs, Missouri. She has three grown children and three grandchildren, but the family spent many years opening their home to foster children. Mildred started writing with her sister Jean, but since Jean's passing, Mildred continues to write to uplift and encourage others.

Mary Davis

Mary Eileen Davis is a full-time writer whose first published novel was Newlywed Games from Multnomah. Her other books include Love Letters, Michigan Weddings, Heritage, and Lakeside. She enjoys going into schools and talking to kids about writing. Mary lives near Colorado's Rocky Mountains with her husband, three children, and six pets

Susan Page Davis

Susan Page Davis is the author of more than thirty published novels. She's a Carol Award Winner and a two-time winner of the Inspirational Readers' Choice Award. In 2011, Susan was named Favorite Author of the Year in the 18th Annual Heartsong Awards. A native of Maine, she and her husband, Jim, now live in western Kentucky.

Lena Nelson Dooley

LENA NELSON DOOLEY lives in Hurst, Texas, with her husband, James, and enjoys her two daughters and her grandchildren. Aside from writing, Lena has been a speaker to women's groups and retreats, as well as writing seminars and conferences. Lena appreciates any opportunity to spread the gospel through missions work and writing.

Award-winning author and speaker Darlene Franklin recently returned to cowboy country--Oklahoma. The move was prompted by her desire to be close to her son's family; her daughter Jolene has preceded her into glory. ýDarlene loves music, needlework, reading and reality TV. Debby Lee

Debby Lee was raised in the cozy little town of Toledo, Washington. She has been writing since she was a small child, and has written several novels, but never forgets home. The Northwest Christian Writers Association and Romance Writers of America are two organizations that Debby enjoys being a part of. As a self professed nature lover, and an avid listener of 1960's folk music, Debby can't help but feel like a hippie child who wasn't born soon enough to attend Woodstock. She wishes she could run barefoot all year long, but often does anyway in the grass and on the beaches in her hamlet that is the cold and rainy southwest Washington. During football season, Debby cheers on the Seattle Seahawks along with legions of other devoted fans. Tamela Hancock Murray has been a writer for two decades. As a college student, she interned on Capitol Hill and at the U.S. Department of State before graduating with honors in Journalism from Lynchburg College in Virginia. Today, Tamela has more than 20 fiction and nonfiction books to her credit, plus magazines and newspaper articles. Her published titles include Maryland Brides, The Music of Home and Virginia Hearts. Carrie Turansky lives in New Jersey with her husband Scott. They have been married for over thirty years and have five young adult children and two grandsons. Carrie leads women's ministry at their church and teaches Bible studies. She also enjoys reading, gardening, and walking around the lake near their home.
