Maasai boys love to practice throwing spears, and jumping. One day they will be strong men and leaders of their tribe. Lemayan is excellent with the goats and his father is proud of his capable son. One dreadful day all that changes and the tribe's way of life hangs in the balance; the drought attacks their pastures; worms attack the cattle and the whole tribe has to sell all their animals. To make matters worse Lemayan falls sick but no one realises just how sick. Lemayan only knows the traditional Maasai world... but now he has to live in a different world. What will that different world offer him? Will he be happy? Will anything be as good as looking after animals? When Lemayan finds out about a Good Shepherd who cares for his sheep he begins another journey of discovery... a journey to yet another world ... a world where the Jesus is King... and where all tribes and peoples are welcome.

- Publisher Have you ever watched a T.V. program or read a newspaper article where a commentator clumsily illustrates his complete ignorance of Christianity and its claims How often have you rolled your eyes and immediately discounted what is being said saying to yourself Well why should I listen to them when they obviously havent got a clue How then can we expect to witness effectively to those of the Muslim faith if all that we know of Islam is picked up from passing references in the media This fascinating book provides Christians with a simple description of the origins of Islam what Muslims believe and how it affects their attitudes worldview everyday life and culture. Practical guidelines are given for relating to Muslims in a culturally appropriate way as well as for witnessing effectively and caring for converts.
