DAN BOONE is a popular speaker and a mentor to young preachers. From his first pastorate of a small rural church in New Salem, Mississippi, to his last pastoral assignment as pastor of a large college church near Chicago, Boone has loved doing the work of preaching. In Preaching the Story That Shapes Us, he shares the process by which sermons are formed for today's congregation. This process pays careful attention to the text, the congregation, and the world into which the sermon goes.
