A journey of love, betrayal and trusting in God.
5 stars By Bec C, Apr 27 2015
This is Faith's Story and the first in the series of "Daughter's of Boston". It's in this book that we are introduced to the O'Connors and are taken on the journey of Faith, the eldest girl to Patrick and Marcy O'Connor. Through Faith's eyes we are taught about the joy of God and how God's way is always the best way.

Encouraging
5 stars By Susan, Dec 12 2013
This story is set in an Irish Catholic family in Boston, just before and during the First World War. It is refreshing to see their devotion to God, their love of the bible etc, and yet not each child responds to Him in the dame manner. Beautifully told of how one daughter refuses to flirt and lower her moral standards as she wants to find life long love, like her parents, God's way. Heartache, betrayal, then the war, bitterness and revenge, lust and emptiness without God, are just some of the issues which are covered. Well written, engrossing story with encouraging scriptures throughout. I highly recommend this book.

A story of Faith
4 stars By Erica, Nov 18 2013
This is such a lovey and engaging story of two people passionately in love yet estranged because of their different beliefs.
Readers are encouraged and challenged to stick to their beliefs and the teachings of the bible in difficult and heart wrenching situations. Faith's faith and purity is an inspiration that we can all learn from.
A Passion most pure is the kind of story that is hard to stop reading.

A Must-Read!!
5 stars By EMH19, Jan 29 2012
A Passion Most Pure is probably my favorite of the Daughters of Boston series. Faith and Collin are two of my most favorite characters! They’re two people so different, yet so alike because when they believe in something they believe in it with their whole hearts. Faith’s love for Collin causes her grief and pain, but she knows that she can’t change him, only God can and that was the most beautiful lesson of the book. That only God can change a heart, and if we follow His path, we WILL get the desires of our hearts. Julie Lessman is an amazing writer!!! This is most definitely a must-read!
