He kept a tight grip on her arm as they went around to the back of the cabin. Thunder rumbled overhead, and fingers of lightning illuminated the mostly overgrown path. In the next flash, Eve saw the white birds gliding along the pond's surface."

She doesn't even remember her own name. A suburban cop surveys a kitchen in disarray-a woman and child missing, a chilling note. This crime scene is unlike any he has ever seen. The man who calls himself Gideon waits and plans. He sees himself as a destroyer of evil, one who rids the world of abominations. He has already killed five. He will kill again. And somewhere in the wilderness, in a secret geocache near where the wild swans gather, lies the unspeakable clue that links them all together. Michigan's rugged and beautiful Upper Peninsula is the setting for this absorbing tale of love and loss, beauty and terror, grievous sins and second chances. A deftly woven thriller from the popular author of the Rock Harbor novels.

~Beautifully Woven...~
4 stars By SilentChorus, Aug 11 2008
WOW!!! I finished Abomination... sat up til 3:45am, I just couldn't put it down!

It blew me away, what a beautifully woven story...

In reality, it's so very sad what the cry of a broken man will do... he loved his wife so very much... he just wanted his wife to be whole... yet because he was so spiritually splintered and fractured himself, he couldn't help her.

This is simply another one of Colleen's masterfully written novels.
