This was one of my favourite hymns growing up and it's still popular today. This book takes the hymn and illustrates it beautifully. This would make a lovely gift for young children.
What really impacts those who read this book, are the illustrations. They are amazing! The colors and the unique way so much is portrayed in each double page, are just delightful! Each page has tiny things to discover, as well as overlapping, truly artistic images and two cute mice are found doing lots on each page, which my daughters just love. There is a boy and a girl who discover God's creation on each page together and even if you don't know this glorious song (the R.S.P.C.A have used the tune for their TV advertisement with the elephant, wombat etc), the words rhyme and are very soothing for a bedtime story. My kids have read it over and over, and are content to look often at the intricate pages. Definitely, a good book to have for all ages.
