A classic book on a classic verse
5 stars By Joel Radford, Jun 28 2013
This old book is indeed a classic work on a classic text: 'And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose' (Romans 8:28-29 KJV). Watson's thesis is to demonstrate that everything does indeed work for good for those who are God's children, and he does it simply enough (of all the Puritans, Watson has to be one of the easiest to read). Watson shows the best things and even the worst things (including sin!) work for good of Christians. He also spends time unpacking what it is to be a Christian so you can know that all things work for your good. If you want some serious comfort, then read Watson's thoughts on what has to be one of the most comforting verses in the Bible.
